How do you delete a part of your computer history? Please read?

Okay so, i searched something on google, and now whenever i type in the first couple of letters in the address bar it shows up numerous times for whatever i looked at on the site. I know how to delete websites that i typed in myself, but since i only searched it on google and clicked on links there im not sure how to delete all that history so that it wont come up anymore. I'm not sure if this makes sense, but if you could please help that would be awesome! thank you
