How do you deep clear sight history from a registry.?

[trust me]

I bought a used Dell and there seems to be a lot of registry issues. Someone suggested I clear all the internet sights visited from the hard drive. I guess you can not get them all by using the tools/internet options/delete tool...there is still a record of sites visited..help .
