How do you decide on which news channels to watch?

How do you decide on what news channel to watch as your main news source? Please help me!!!
 
If you're talking local news, I watch the one that's closest related to where I live (I guess that one's pretty obvious), but if you're talking the world news (CNN, Fox News etc..) I watch the channel that tends to mimic my general political views on things (although I don't think my channel is biased :)!!
