I'd like to create a Flash animation in which a backlight appears to shine out from behind text, moving across the text as it shines.
I'm wanting an effect like the one used for the opening credits of the tv show Firefly (the opening credits can be viewed here for reference: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LrAS20mNZUE ).

Does anyone know how, or even if, this can be accomplished with Flash?
