I have recently purchased a Sharp LED TV, (1080p, 100Hz) and bought a 5.1 Samsung surround sound system with DVD player with it, i also have a HDMI cable and a Digital Optical Audio Cable, I have managed to connect everything up and the surround sound system works well whilst watching DVD's. However, when watching normal TV, the sound appears to come out of the TV speakers only and the surround system is not used, I have tried many methods of getting things to work, but not have been successful so far.
