My mom has an aquarium with guppies in it and one of them had babies about two weeks ago. The mom guppy was eating the babies so we took them out and I bought another tank to put them in. We were only able to catch eight of them but they are all alive and doing well. I have no idea how to clean the tank though. The tank I bought didn't come with a filter, just and air pump. After two weeks there is a lot of gunk on the bottom of the tank, but I don't know how to clean it without hurting the fish. Does anyone know how to clean it? and if anyone has any advice on how to take care of them I could use that too Thanks!
Carefully take a bag and put the fish into it with the water that is Already in the tank. Place them aside, in a Temperature that isn't to hot or cold.
The quickly clean out the tank and refill the water back up, then place the bags, with the fish still in them into the tank with the new water and let them readjust to the temperature for about 20 minutes.
Then release the fish from the bag into the cleaned out fish tank.
