How do you chirp on a boost mobile phone?

my friend just bought a new boost phone and he cant figure out how to chirp
he knows someone with boost who chirps all of the time
he wants to chirp his friend but he cant ask him how to chirp because then his friend will know hes gonna chirp him. his friend is the only person he knows with boost so he just wants this one chance to say "where you at" as a suprise.
help?
