how do you check howthe status of the batteries on nokia x6?

how do you check how the status of the batteries on nokia x6?
i know there are indicator on screen. but it only takes me like 30-60 min to fully charge according to that. so i think it is not accurate. if there anyway to show it as percentage?
hmmm so mobile is suppose to charge that fast? my older one take like 3hour+
