How do you bypass the stock amp in a 1996 ford explorer?

i need to know which wires to cut and which ones to splice them with and im talking about how u can unhook the harness that goes in and the one that come out of the factory amp in my 96' ford explorer all i need to know is which one to splice together someone please help me this damn thing has been a thorn in my side for awhile we had it working then had a mishap that fried the factory amp so now i need to bypass it all together
please help and dont answer if u dont know i have had a long day
 
Mustangs have the same amp, and the same problem. I have fixed this problem in two different ways: 1)ran new speaker wires directly to the speakers. 2) got on the ford website and got the wiring diagram and cut and spliced according to the diagram. Both ways worked just fine, 2 was easier. The hardest part about running new wires in the Explorer is the flex boots that connect the wiring to the doors and running the wire through them. Be careful with the wiring diagram that you get online, sometimes the wire colors are different, for different years and makes of vehicles so make sure you find the right one. I'm not sure where exactly to find the diagrams, but they weren't hard to find.
