How do you by pass the low pressure cut out on a ford pickup to make the...

...compressor pull the refrigerant in? and is a good thing to do? I can not locate the sensor,and think it may be in the compressor. Does it ground to bring in the magnet? do I pull the jack and bridge the terminal across or touch ground? it is a 1990 truck.
I first looked at the accumulator and saw no plug, and further search showed that it was either well hidden or within the compressor,as a harness was plugged in to the back of it. I know about commercial and residential, but did not kiip up with auto-air
 
HVAC Tech.: Certified Universal & Automotive. The low pressure switch cuts the compressor off if the refrigerant leaks out enough to ruin the system. To bypass the safety would be a bad idea. If it goes bad, replace it with a new one, or repair the leak and top up the charge but don't bypass the switch.
