I have a fairly diverse group of friends and for the most part we agree on most things. But one friend is a somewhat strict Conservative Christian, he loves to start political and religious debates and since I'm agnostic it is quite uncomfortable. I've always thought that it is in bad taste to start debates like this in public. Am I wrong? Can anyone give any advice on how to handle this?
I should add that most of my other friends are Christian too, and he makes them uncomfortable at times.
