How do you avoid a confrontation with a pushy in-law?

With this one person I can't just say hello and move on- she has to engage me in a lecture- usually prefaced with" I want us to talk".
you guys have made my day- LOL- now all I have to do is think of your answers while my eyes glaze over and I nod.

I hear ya I have the same problem I kill her with kindness.
But I usually try to keep to my self when she is around
Ugh Misery.Good luck its a Common problem.
