Hello, I have a 1993 Ford Ranger V6 3.0. It has a distributor, rotor, and cap. I had one of my friends replace the sparkplugs, wires, rotor and cap about 10 days ago, and I just noticed that he put the wires back in in the wrong firing order. Now, my truck stalls at every stoplight/sign and misfires pretty bad on the freeway (after I put the wires back in the correct firing order). I checked compression and everything is where it should be, and no smoke or anything coming out of the tailpipe. The truck is basically running rough all-around.
With this being said, I was wondering how to adjust the timing on my truck. I know I need a timing light, but from there, I have not a clue. If anyone can please help me out it would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
Changed the fuel filter already and the PCV valve. No check engine light on
