I work for WTNH News channel 8 in Connecticut and I am a camera operator. So I was told to go to AZ to shoot the story. When I was on my way to the airport I got a call from KNXV-TV saying a gag order was placed and we could not do the story. It only took 3 hours for us to get the story to finding out a gag order was placed.
My supervisor got yelled at so bad from his boss that I could hear everything including the words saying the gag order is unconstitutional from 2 rooms away.
If the gag order is unconstitutional why was it placed and if it isn't how do we have the gag order repealed?
If you're referring to the 'Sweat Lodge' case, then you'll have to direct your anger at the judge in charge of the case. The judge issued the gag order at the request of the prosecution, to limit pretrial publicity that might taint the potential jury pool, and adversely affect the chances of getting a fair trial.
