As far as quality I personally feel that it has always been there on some cars. As far as european cars go, there really isn't much competition in the us. Mercedes and bmw are really in there own category. Especially price wise. No real american competition. Volkswagen and audi are the only real affordable euro cars in the us. Volkswagen is the worst rated car in america, right behind range rover. Problem in usa with cars is there is way too much competition. I lived in europe for three years. Never saw an american car dealership. I don't know why, the germans seemed to love american cars. Especially jeeps and minivans. That was before everybody had minivans. In america everything is for sale. You can drive five miles and find any car in the world. With Korean cars coming in strong and china getting ready to come into the states it will only keep getting harder. This giant pain in the ass of a recession isn't helping either.
