I have been with verizon for a very long time so the thought of gsm unlocked phones never applied to me but now im really thinking of switching to virgin mobile and using the $25 unlimited data and text and 300 minute plan..... To be honest I am not very sold on any of there smartphone though because there mediocre and lack alot of what I want in a smartphone so I was wondering if you can get like an unlocked gsm phone on eBay and put the virgin mobile sim card in the smartphone and it will work? ... Is virgin mobile even gsm because I can't seem to find a straight answer and if i did get an unlocked phone would it have to have special requirements?
How do unlocked phones work? could i use one on virgin mobile?
