How do u replace a broken latch on a ford ranger 2003?

you can go to dealership and get parts to install to fix it might have to pry the latch open with a screwdriver to get it open one on each side a shop could handle it better but is a do at home job not much to insides really
 
Lift up on the release handle and look up inside at the mechanism.One of the linkage rods is not being pulled back far enough by the handle,probably because the moving parts are corroded and stiff.Grasp it as best as possible with needle nosed pliers and pull it back.Then spray everything with oil so it doesn't happen again.
