how do u repair the digital milage display on a ford focus (2002)?

i was drivin recently and noticed the milage display flickering, now its just showing little bits of numbers. i,ve been told the l.e.d. has gone, has anyone had this problem and how much would it cost to repair ? any help appreciated x
 
Put it on a ramp and run the engine till the number passes 100k on older cars. After 0 run it for a few hundred miles. It's not worth the fuel consumption on old bangers, but if its a classic car with a high mileage in good condition, it can add £££ to the selling price as you would now be selling a showroom classic. Probably more efficient ways to do this, but it works.
