How do u burn a cd with windows media player or itunes?

I have tha songs saved n my documents area or watever n i put them on windowns media player n it says drag songs to burn list n i put them on the list put the blank cd in but it wont register the cd?

how do i fix that or is there a different way to do it like put it on itunes or something...but i try n drag them to itunes from windows but it wont let me??

please help i just want a dang cd!
k i got them all on itunes n it says burn disc n bottom corner n i click it n wont burn? says checking media...
