Forrest of Petrified Wood

Deep within the forest of petrified wood,
Where rock columns rise from the earth,
The statue of a great man once stood,
That’s now covered and buried by mirth.

Far within the sea of stone,
Sits the crystal guardian,
There he stays on his golden throne
And there he waits to live again.

Up hi, in the boulder sky,
An empire made powerful by wind,
The raven is the eternal eye.
Searching for the great stones end.

Eyes Unseen

I look with eyes unseen,
And I speak with words unspoken.
I have walked many a weary roads
Away from promises I have broken.

I swim with arms so strong,
And I run with legs so tired.
I have run through moonlit nights
Towards the treasures that I desired.

I think with mind so clear
And I play with heart so light.
My imagination flows from me like
The wind that pulls a kite.

Unnamed

Gold,
Dripping off of crystal leaves
Falling down from emerald trees.

Saphires,
Trickling down silver structures
Sailing far, near ruby ruptures.

Topaz,
Coursing through the onyx skies,
Right beneath these opal eyes.

Diamonds,
Staring down from iv’ry heavens.
Into the souls of the ebon.
