how do student loans affect my financial aid?

i m getting help from financial aid but i still need more money to pay but im doubting to get a loan because i don't know if that's going to minimize what im getting from financial aid or if that's set aside and ive tried contacting fafsa and my financial aid in college but i just didnt get what they are saying.so please anybody who has this from experience help me cause i am very lost? and please =write any websites that have helped you.tank you
