I'm 16 and I want to join the army or navy (I haven't decided which) in the future. But I want to join as a officer. My question is how do people get the highest rank in their branch, a general, or a admiral for the navy? Do they have to go to the military academies right after high school? But if you don't are your chances at one day becoming one get cut just like that? Also what job as an officer do they usually do? Like that mm thing. I ask because I hope of one day becoming a high rank. Thank you yes I know my question is stupid but It was on my mind for a long time now. Oh yeah in college, does becoming apart of ROTC good for you when you become a officer? My high school never had a jrotc so will that have an affect on me?
