I think the more appropriate question is WHY do they work?
Downloading a craked kaspersky anti-virus program(the pro one) will only last about a month until the big guys discover you and blacklist your system so you could no longer update. An OS however is different. You run a loader and it last for a really long time. In fact, i believe it lasts forever. Does it mean windows has far less security measures to protect themselves from hackers compared to a anti-virus company? or do loaders just work differently.
