How do military personnel feel about working with civilians?

There are 4 guys on my ship doing tests on my system. They are doing all the work and I don't mind! LOL That's been my experience with civilians all along as well.

For the most part, it is fine. Most of the civil service/contractors I have worked with are either retired military or at least served prior, so they understand the lingo, and our protocal. The brand newbies can be a problem sometimes because they simply don't understand how things are run....although there are a handful of civilians who just don't care.

Personally, I HATE it. Most of them don't understand we have other duties, and that we can't just do their jobs for them. It wasn't like that in my last unit, though. Those civs were AWESOME!!

If they are retired it can go anyway depending on the individual. Some are alright and some think you owe them somthing. If they dont have prior service I try to manipulate them for my benifit.
