How do I write the V and I chords for a perfect cadence?

I understand how to put them into the manuscript, just not how to get them. Let's say it's F Major. FGABbCDEF. I don't understand what pattern they use to get:
I- FFAD
V- CCEG

Someone please help! O.o I've got a music exam tomorrow and my teacher refuses to help. :\ I'm going to swap to drama after this is over.
