How do I write a research paper on Thomas a Becket?

I have to write a 2-3 page research paper on Thomas a Becket with a thesis statement taking a position that others may argue, that also proves "something" about him. It must include cited quotes in support to my thesis and citation for each fact I use... The problem is that I cant think of a good thesis that proves "something" about this guy. I did research on him its just that Thomas a Becket is such a broad topic that its really hard to choose one specific thing to focus on about him. And other issue is that I don't know how to format it. Should I first overview his life then go on to my thesis in a separate paragraph , or should I incorporate only relevant information to my thesis in my overview. Any thesis Ideas? Please help me out, its due in 2 days and I feel like killing myself...This is a 12 grade English research paper.
