I have a new boat trailer with a 4-way plug. According to the instructions, the adapter that connects to the car has 4 connections, which are for: ground, left signal/stop, right signal/stop, and taillights. However, in the trunk of my car, I have found 5 wires labeled most likely by a previous owner: ground, right blinker, left blinker, stop, and running lights. Is there any way to connect these 5 wires to properly work with this trailer connector? If not, what type of adapter do i need?
