I am a stay at home mom and have a very happy 17-month old who just happens to be in love with her paci and "lovey". We don't go anywhere without them. I guess I am at fault for this because I have been letting her do it. However, she really enjoys having both. My concern is that she is going to pre-school in a couple of months and I would like to have her off of the paci with the exception of bedtime and naps. She is very smart and will ask for both in public and if she doesn't get them, she gets very upset and loud so I always make sure I have them. Nothing more embarrasing than a toddler tantrum in the middle of a grocery store, etc.. How can I quickly break this habit without experiencing too many "meltdowns"?
