How do I view my Yahoo Mail messages in my Apple/ Mac mail for free?

There is a free program called YPOP's which, if you download, you can get your Yahoo Email POPed so you can view your Yahoo Mail in Outlook, Thunderbird, or in any other email program for free without having to pay for Yahoo Plus. Unfortunately , YPOP's is only available for the Windows PC and the Mac version is different and confusing. Can anyone show me how to get my Yahoo mail in Apple/ Mac mail for free?
 
why dont you just check your mail in a web browser? i dont get it why do people have to use these email programs when they can just use their web browsers? it it really that hard to keep track of your mail?
