How do I view my computer website history?

I think my roommate has been getting on my laptop. It has been running really slow and has had pop-ups more frequently. I heard that there is a way you can check to see when the last time your computer was used, the websites visited, and much more. (I need to know more than just the history that you view from the toolbar) I have a Dell Laptop with windows vista.
 
why don't you just put a log in password on your laptop? so they can't log into your computer just go to control panal-user accounts
