How do I verify my Facebook account WITHOUT using the cell phone thingy?

I want to verify my account because I want to change my username :( !!! But I don't want to use the cell phone service. Please tell me step by step on how to verify my account without using cell phone. PLEASE HELP ME!!! Please don't give answers that didn't explain how to. TY if u answer.
