How do I use threaded messaging on Motorola Hint?

The Motorola Hint phone is supposed to have threaded messaging right? So shouldnt i be able to scroll through our entire conversation (both what I say and what the other person says). Maybe theres an option I have to change, but that's not what is happning on my Hint now. Threaded messaging is supposed to look like a chat (like on the iPhone). Help?
