How do I use the browser on my Samsung SGH-T255G Straight Talk Phone?

I recently bought a Samsung SGH-T255G Straight Talk phone with unlimited text, talk, and web. The only problem is, I can't connect to the web at all. I hit the browser button and it tries for about 30 seconds then tells me it cannot connect. I also can not send or receive picture messages. I know the phone is capable of doing these things I just can't figure out how to use them properly. It has been over 24 hours since I have activated the phone.

Any help?
