How do I use my new acoustic guitar's onboard electronics?

I just got a new Ibanez AEL20EVV, and I don't know very much about how to use the onboard electronics. The board has 4 settings, Shape, Treble, Middle, and Bass.

Also, the board has a phase button.

Does anyone know hat all of these settings do, and how to use them?
