I connected the earbud in Accessory Settings, but cannot get it to work once I go into a game.
Right, but the problem was that I'd get into a game and, even though Accessory Settings / Manage Bluetooth Devices said the Jabra earbud was connected, it did not work with the game. So, here was the issue -- beyond connecting the device, there are additional settings for using the earbud in a game. Here they are:
Accessory Settings -- Manage Bluetooth Devices -- Audio Device Settings -- Audio Input Device / Audio Output Device (have to set these to earbud)
This is the key step to getting the earbud calibrated for use in a game. Otherwise, the earbud is just connected and will not work in a game. Perhaps my Jabra BT2080 requires that step, whereas other ones are automatically calibrated once they're connected.
