How do I upgrade my ROM to 2.2 Froyo? (I have NTelos and a Desire)?

I have NTelos as a cell phone provider. It is CDMA.

Currently I am running 2.1 on my phone. (2.1 is sweet, but I would like to have wireless tethering and I would like to be able to use my SD Card for more internal memory).

I do not want to brick my phone. I have already "rooted" the phone.

The cell provider is NTelos and the phone is HTC Desire running Android 2.1. I do not think I can use any Sprint Roms.
