I have a 1992 grand marquis and it had a ford AM/FM radio with a cassette player in it with jbl sound system. I purchased a new car cd player to install in it along with a Ford wiring harness. When I pulled out the cassette deck everything seemed fine except for an additional wiring connector. As pictured below:

Has anyone dealt with this before? I having a hard time finding any information on these sound systems.
Is it possible to omit this connector and just wire up the other two connectors to my deck or will it not work?
