Yea i want to uninstall 8 on my old laptop and put 11 on it
I checked under Add and Remove Programs and its not there.
This is an old computer about 5 or so years and has a basic version of Windows XP Business Edition on it.

1. Go to control Panel
2. Add Remove Program
3. Click on Add/Remove windows component on the left side
4. Remove check mark the Window media player in windows component which is in the current list.
5. Next and finish.

i'd say, if you have a shortcut, delete the shortcut. if your computer's relatively up to date, you should get a prompter tellin you that deleting that shortcut's not the way to completely get ridda that program. and it should, in addition, give you a link to follow. follow the link and it should take you directly to the main program and give you the option of uninstallin it completely. now, if that doesn't work, then i don't know what will.
