How do I turn on my Panasonic Model No.SDR-H90P/PC after I plug it into the computer?

I have no idea how to turn it on when it's plugged in the computer. I can't upload any videos without it on. I've tried rotating the on/off button thingy, but it won't work. It works perfectly fine when it actually has the battery, but I want to UPLOAD it, and in order to do that, I must remove the battery.
I've tried pressing all the buttons I could find, but it still didn't work. Help? :(
