how do i turn on a verizon palm treo 700p phone service on?

i have a verizon wireless palm treo and i just activated it with a company but when i try to make a phone call or recieve a call it wont go through because the phone says that it is OFF i have tried to turn it back on but it dosent work. it still says that the phone is off! What do i do?
