How do I turn off the alarm on my 2004 toyota camry?

The car alarm on my just purchased but used 2004 Toyota Camry goes off if I try to unlock the car with a key instead of the remote. Is there a way to disable the alarm without going to a mechanic? Also, is it possible to make the car not honk when I lock or unlock the car? It honks twice every time I unlock it which seems mighty unnecessary...
