How do i transport a fish over a long distance?

I'm moving back into my dorm, and over the summer I got a little friend. The drive is 15, 16 hours-ish... but we'll first be driving 2 hours up to my grandmothers house (which is on the way) and spending the night, so the little guy will get oxygen then.
From there, its going to be about 12 hours to the final destination. How should I transport him? How will I take care of the oxygen? Should he just ride along in my lap the whole way?

It all depends on what kind of fish you have, you can grab a plastic container big enough to carry your little friend in and fill it up with there tank water, to give them there oxygen you can buy a battery operated aerator. make sure you put a towel or something over top the container so you dont frighten them, putting them on your lap would be the best way to go, just to guarantee there protection, this would be best for long trips like yours
I hope this helps you in anyway possible

uh i don't think he'll need an oxygen tank. throw him in a fish bowl and he should be good to go. lol, alrite i never had a fish before... so idk. but that's what i would do.

Get a fish bowel and put him in there, use a straw to blow bubbles in it for 2 mins every half an hour. Same concept! :)
