How do i transfer pictures into my SD card to my sharp fx phone?

so yesterday i got a new phone. At&t Sharp Fx , Its a pretty good phone. I try to change my wallpaper because the one that i have right now doesn't really satisfy me. I go to pictures & Press SD card and it says empty. My SD card has plenty of pictures on it. How do i get all my pictures on my new phone?
