How do I transfer music to my 4G?

I have an apple iPod touch fourth generation and I need to know how to transfer music from my computer to my device. I have windows vista and when I open my iPod's file it goes to Internal Storage, DCMI, 800AAAAA, then to my pictures, and I can't "Drag 'n Drop" the music like I usually do. What am I doing wrong?
