How do I transfer music files from a memory card to a Samsung Gravity?

Here's what I did. I ripped a CD on to my computer.I Copied the songs to my memory card.I put the memory card in the phone. I went to Fun & Apps.I went to Files. I went to memory card.I went to music. I went to the artist name then album. I hit options. I tried copying it and moving it but it wont work.

Can anybody help?
