How do I tell my overweight friend she looks dreadful in a thong?

My friend and I go to Cuba every Dec. In the last 11 months she has gained over 80 pounds. She always wears a thong when we are on the beach and she is planning to wear one this year as well. She modelled this for me the other day and to say the least it's gross. How should I tell my friend she is only going to draw negative attention by displaying her flab?
 
tell her she looks BETTER in full bottoms, if she says she still wants to wear a thong then u will have to tell her. Tbh friends should b able to tell eachother anything
