Ok so I am in dance 3 at my high school, and at the end of the school year there is a dance show with all the levels (dance 1, 2, 3, and 4) and so each person our class gets to be in 3 dances. I like our dances, but last year it was mostly just sexy jazz and hip hop dances to popular music. Ive had this really awesome idea in my head, to make a dance to the song "Helena" by My chemical romance. It would be a contemporary dance mixed with jazz and ballet moves. The thing is, I really dont know how to approach my teacher on this and I'm sortof afraid to. The reason why is because I tried out for the school dance team last year, and even though I did the dance perfectly, she didn't put me on the team (and there are some girls on there who are not even that good!) I've had this vision for this dance in my head for such a long time, and I think it would be amazing, but I dont know if she will take me seriously! I really need advice because I want to ask her soon before she decides the theme of the dance show! Thank you.
