How do I tell if the neutral safety switch is wearing out vs. the clutch pedal

being adjusted? When I depress the clutch on my 97 Tacoma, sometimes it starts and sometimes it doesn't. How should the clutch be adjusted to rule it out as the problem? I.e., is it the clutch pedal or the neutral safety switch that's causing the intermittent starting?
Thanks, everybody so far. Starter's fine. There doesn't seem to be an adjustment for the switch. It's bolted onto an arm and a plate on the clutch pedal pushes in a plastic projection to activate a solenoid. It looks like the projections is fully pushed in when the clutch is fully depressed. Oh, well, here comes a new switch!
