...flat? I can't find the chain link and my tire is flat so i need to get a new one..is tehre any way I ca take off the chain or do I even need to take the chain off?
It is a mountain bike.

Shift the left gear to #1 and the right to the highest number. That will give you plenty of chain slack to work with (never ride your bike with that combination). Loosen the axle and pull the wheel out, when you put it back in put the chain on the smallest sprocket. There is no need to break the chain.

You don't need to take off the chain. It's best if you don't. Loosen the rear axle. Yours might have nuts (use a wrench) or a quick release (just open the lever). If you push the axle down in its slots it will come free of the frame. You can then just move the wheel to the left, disengaging the back cogs from the chain. It can get messy, so wear rubber gloves if you have them.
