How do I Sync my treo 800w to the computer so it can charge?

I recently just found out that my treo 800w will not charge on the wall charger if it is not over 20 percent battery life. So Im trying to sync it to my computer so it can charge. I downloaded windows mobile and now it keeps telling me to change my connection settings. But change them to what and how?
